Handsaws are, in general the preferred saw in this area of work as they do not require the extensive and time consuming setup of wall saws. However, depth of cut from one side is in general limited to around 150mm.
For deeper and larger openings the wallsaw comes into its own because of the additional depth, power and thus speed of the saw particularly in sawing hard concrete with plenty of reinforcing steel.
