Concrete breakup & loadout for steep, difficult and restricted sites
Such sites put a premium on having diggers that are big enough to provide the power and efficiency to do the job, but which are compact enough to get to the worksite.
Both diggers come with a wide range of buckets, some of which are custom designed for these particular conditions.
As mentioned earlier the 4.5 tonne machine is 2 metres wide and can efficiently work, if required, in a confined space of around 6 to 7 metres. With some loss of efficiency in duty cycle times this work area can be further reduced.
The Takeuchi is 1 metre wide and typically operates in spaces ranging down to only 4 to 5 metres with a minimum working radius of around 2.5 metres. The heavy counterweight on this machine allows a reach of just over 3 metres beyond the track frame.
Where access is limited, or where precision is required, concrete sawing and manual labour will enable the appropriate sections to be removed.
Concrete sawing in general has the advantage of enabling larger sections to be removed creating less rubble to clean up and speeding up handling and loadout times.
Loadouts where it is not possible to get a truck immediately adjacent to the worksite, are generally best handled by a mobile wheelbarrow.
These rubber tracked machines have major advantages over the more common bobcat skidsteer loader of being much narrower to start with (65 cm), with a larger payload (500 kgs plus), and with far superior traction, particularly in wet conditions.
As we specialise in the more complex and difficult jobs, the mobile wheelbarrow has been substantially upgraded in terms of load capacity with a heavy duty steel flat deck for carrying large sections of concrete and also with the option of a short range 425 kg capacity loading crane.
